Trump in Manhattan: He will testify before the New York Attorney General

Former US President Donald Trump has arrived in Manhattan to testify before New York Attorney General Leticia James, he said today in a post on his Truth Social platform.

Last September, James filed a fraud lawsuit in a New York state court in Manhattan against Trump and his three adult children, accusing them of falsifying the value of property to obtain preferential loans and tax breaks. Following James’ lawsuit, Trump also filed a lawsuit against her.

In March, Trump asked the court to delay the case for six months, adding that the extension would give him time to review a “vast” amount of material, including millions of pages of documents, and question dozens of witnesses.

“… I can finally show what a wonderful, profitable and valuable company I have built, in fact one of the greatest real estate companies in the world,” Trump wrote today in another post on the Truth Social platform.

Trump, who is aiming to become president again in 2024, was also indicted earlier this month by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

The former president has been charged with 34 felony felony business records related to allegations that he arranged payments to two women ahead of the 2016 presidential election to prevent his sexual relationship with them from being made public.
