After months of speculation, Prince Harry will attend King Charles’ official coronation ceremony on May 6, but Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, will not travel to the UK, Buckingham Palace has announced.
There were rumors that a couple from the US would be invited to the coronation of King Charles. “I can confirm that the Duke recently received an email from Her Majesty’s Office regarding the coronation,” a spokesman recently noted.
Westminster Abbey, where the coronation will take place, can accommodate about 2,200 guests. Many public figures, politicians and international figures are expected to attend, as well as the King’s family and friends.
This will be the first time he has been with the royal family since the release of his best-selling book Spare, in which he brilliantly revealed many of the mysteries of Buckingham and his life.
Attack on father
Harry states in his book that he and William resisted their father’s marriage to Camille because they feared she would become a “bad stepmother”. He accuses Charles of implying that the Sussexes are “costing him dearly” and of wanting to get rid of Meghan because she would outshine him.
The prince moves to personal confessions, without any filter: admits to cocaine use, to having killed 25 Taliban in Afghanistan, describes how he lost his virginity, says that he visited a psychic to communicate with his mother Diana, who was killed in 1997 in a car accident in Paris.
Despite what he writes in The Reserve, Harry reiterated in an interview with ITV that he wants to reconcile with his family.
