Reports on explosions on the outskirts of the capital Damascus, state media reported in the early hours Syria. So far, there is no information about the victims.

Earlier, Israeli artillery hit Syrian territory in response to rocket attacks on the southern Golan Heights (which Israel has annexed).

“Artillery hit the Syrian region, from where rockets were fired towards Israeli territory,” the Israeli military said in a laconic statement. According to the same source, a total of six rockets were fired, causing warning sirens to sound in various locations.

The Al Mayadeen TV channel reports that Al-Quds brigades (the armed wing of the Palestinian organization Islamic Jihad) took responsibility for launching missiles in the direction of the Golan Heights.
