
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in Ankara this evening as part of a two-day visit.
The head of Turkish diplomacy, Mevlut Cavusoglu, invited his Russian counterpart to iftar (dinner after breaking the fast) at the Foreign Ministry. Lavrov accepted the invitation and went to the Foreign Ministry, accompanied by the Russian ambassador to Ankara, Alexei Gerkhov.
The main topic of the negotiation agenda, which Lavrov will hold in the Turkish capital, is an agreement on the export of grain and fertilizers through the Black Sea.
Tomorrow Friday, the head of Russian diplomacy will meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
