
Over the past day, the Ukrainian military repelled more than 30 Russian attacks and hit two Russian air defense systems and a radar, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Friday, Kyiv Independent writes.
“During the past 24 hours, the Air Force struck six areas where servicemen and equipment (of the armed forces of the Russian Federation) are concentrated,” the message reads.
The Ukrainian army also struck eight Russian temporary bases, a fuel depot, two anti-aircraft missile systems and an artillery unit in a firing position, the General Staff reports.
Meanwhile, Russia launched five missile strikes, 12 airstrikes, and more than 20 rounds of rocket-propelled grenades (MSDS).
“Today, the Russian Federation launched another missile attack on civilian areas of the city of Zaporizhzhia and other populated areas of Ukraine using ballistic missiles. Russia also used six Shahed-136 drones for airstrikes – all of them were destroyed by our defenders,” the General Staff wrote.
Earlier on March 22, Russia struck two residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia, as a result of which two people were killed and more than 30 people were injured.
