
Death toll in Hindu temple floor collapse in Madhya Pradesh India The death toll has risen to 35 and the search and rescue operation continues, a local official told AFP.
The incident occurred as worshipers gathered at a temple in the city of Indore to celebrate the Hindu festival of Ram Navami, officials said.

“We rescued 18 people, 35 were found dead and 16 injured,” Ilagiaria T., a senior local government official, told Reuters.
According to local media reports, at least 75 military personnel and rescue workers worked throughout the day to clear the rubble, using ropes and ladders to retrieve people who had fallen into the well.
