The last collectible coin dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the first edition of the book “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone(“Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”), released Royal Mint United Kingdom (Royal Mint).

The coin depicts Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The collection, released in 2022, includes coins with Harry PotterHogwarts Express and Professor Albus Dumbledore.

Coin collectors and Harry Potter fans in 86 countries have already purchased at least one coin from this series.

Artisans at the Royal Mint in Wales have reproduced some of the illustrations by British artist Jim Kay (illustrator of the Harry Potter books) on some of the coins. In fact, many of them include a “hidden feature” that only appears when the coin is held up to a light, revealing the zipper and the number “25”. An advanced laser was used to print intricate designs.

In terms of appeal, the Royal Mint said the coins are popular with young families who grew up with the Harry Potter books.

The Mint’s head of collections told the BBC: “We enjoyed celebrating the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and the unique collection of coins to mark the occasion. Today we complete this special and popular collection with a coin featuring Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was only fitting that the school was on the last coin, the place where Harry Potter became one of the greatest wizards of all time.” He added: “The coin collection has been a hit with Potterheads around the world who are nostalgic for every coin in the series.”
