The streets of France today – for the ninth time since January 19 – were filled with protesters reiterating their opposition to Macron’s reforms. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, about 1 million citizens took part in protests across the country, and about 120 thousand people took part in the streets of Paris. Far different from the government’s official statement were estimates from the CGT union, which said there were more than 3.5 million protesters across the country and 800,000 in the capital alone.
