
A zebra escaped from a zoo in the South Korean capital Seoul on Thursday and wandered the streets of a residential area for three hours before authorities caught it and returned it to the zoo.

The footage shows stunned pedestrians watching the animal drive past cars, roam the road and stick its nose into trash cans.

A zebra named Sero escaped from the zoo at the Seoul Grand Children’s Park.
The zebra escaped from the Seoul Grand Children’s Park on Thursday afternoon and authorities are currently trying to capture the animal.

Officials were able to capture the zebra and administer anesthetic muscle relaxants, the Seoul Gwangjin Fire Department said. The mammal was brought back to the zoo by truck.

However, Sero’s videos went viral on social media. “Literally a crosswalk,” one Twitter user wrote.
