White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan and President of Georgia Salome Zurabisvili Yesterday Friday welcomed the withdrawal of two bills on “foreign agents“, which caused a political crisis in the former Soviet republic, during their meeting in Washington, according to a press release issued by the White House.
“They welcomed the government’s recent decision to withdraw two bills,” the press release said.
Ms Zurabishvili, who is a close friend of Europe and said she would veto the bills, and Mr Sullivan also agreed that Russia should bear the “full economic costs of the sanctions, export controls and other economic restrictions” imposed on it after the invasion of Ukraine over a year ago, in February 2022, always during the American presidency.
