Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić made it clear in an interview with a private TV channel that he was not going to sign any agreement that would define Kosovo as an independent state.

“The citizens of Serbia should know that it doesn’t even occur to me to sign something that would be the surrender of Serbia,” Vučić said. He also stated that “Serbia will not agree to Kosovo’s accession to the UN and will not accept it silently.”

It is noted that the European plan for the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina does not ask Serbia to recognize the independence of Kosovo, but states that it will not object to its entry into the UN and other international organizations.
