Citizens were notified through emergency early warning app on their mobile phones “to avoid the attack zone, immediately take cover in a building and use your phone only when absolutely necessary so as not to destroy the network.”
Ambulances arrived at the scene, and German police are searching for the attackers, local media reported.

In a new tweet, the German police state that “there is no reliable information about the motives of the crime yet. We ask that you do not share baseless assumptions and/or spread rumors.”
