Iran secretly sent a large consignment of ammunition to Russia, Sky News TV reports.
According to the relevant investigation, this shipment, which included 100 million bullets and 300,000 artillery shells, was smuggled across the Caspian Sea.
According to information cited by Sky News journalists, two Russian-flagged merchant ships, Musa Jamil and Begay, left Iranian ports for Astrakhan in January with 200 containers of ammunition.
The shipment reportedly included ammunition for rocket launchers, mortars and machine guns, as well as helmets and body armor. Moscow reportedly paid for the delivery in cash.
