Speaking at a press conference after talks with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the Turkish minister said that “the first meeting was held in a trilateral format”, referring to the cooperation between representatives of the armed forces of Turkey, Syria and Russia.
“The Iranian Foreign Minister said that they would like to participate in these meetings. We, Turkey, said that there is nothing wrong with that,” Cavusoglu said.
“We also told the Russians that there are no problems with Iran’s involvement. Work on the meeting of foreign ministers continues. It will be held in a four-way format,” he said.
“Russia offered to organize a technical meeting as part of this work. Therefore, our deputy minister will be present at the meeting in Moscow next week,” the Turkish Foreign Minister said.
