
US authorities will “work closely with the Mexican government to ensure justice” following the kidnapping in the northeast. Mexico of four Americans, two of whom were found dead, a White House spokesman said today.
Attacks on American citizens are “unacceptable,” said Mr. John Kirbyhis representative White House national security official, expressing “sincere condolences” to the families of the two Americans who were found dead.
It is recalled that two of the four Americans abducted in Mexico last week are dead, as reported by the Mexican authorities.
Four American citizens were abducted on March 3 at gunpoint while driving in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, which borders Texas. In particular, the armed men allegedly shot the passengers of the minibus, after which they transferred them to another car and left the territory.
