OUR Russia said today that reports of who may be behind last year’s attacks on the pipeline natural gas Nord Stream, highlight the need to answer Moscow’s questions about what happened.

In a statement, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stressed that those responsible for leaking information to the media want to divert public attention and avoid a proper investigation.

The New York Times reported today that new information reviewed by US officials suggests a pro-Ukrainian group carried out the attacks on the pipelines.
