Two American citizens abducted by militants on Friday in Mexicoafter the militants pushed him to the north-east of the country, today he returned to USAThis was stated by the US State Department, adding that the United States is in the process of repatriating the remains of two other Americans who died in the same incident.

The investigation is at the very beginning, State Department spokesman Ned Price told reporters, adding that the FBI may have more information to release in due course.

Earlier, the White House said US officials were in contact with the families of four Americans abducted in Mexico and that President Joe Biden had been made aware of the incident. Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre added that the United States is working with Mexican officials to learn more about the incident.
