OUR Poland will send ten more German-made Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine this week, Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said today.
“Four (tanks) are already in Ukraine, ten more will go to Ukraine this week,” Blaschak stressed at a press conference. In total, Poland promised to send 14 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.
Blaszczak goes to meet with defense ministers European Union in Stockholm, which will take place today, and the topic of discussion will be the security of Europe and support for Ukraine.
“We have scheduled talks with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius. The main problem we will talk about is the low availability of spare parts for Leopard tanks,” Blazczak said.
He added that this problem can be solved primarily by the German arms industry, and Poland is also ready to produce such components.
“We are ready to open a hub in Poland that will repair the Leopard tanks delivered to Ukraine,” the Polish minister added.
