Russian TV presenter Volodymyr Solovyov, who is considered to be President Vladimir Putin’s favorite propagandist, has released a video that he says shows the moment he was “hunted” by Ukrainian gunners while at the front.
Solovyov said the day before that he was attacked while visiting the deployment site of the 155th Marine Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces near Vugledar in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic.
This small town, which before the start of the war had a population of just over 14,000 inhabitants, became in January the epicenter of hostilities in the east of Ukraine, as well as the scene of one of the greatest disasters that the Russian army suffered in 376. days since the beginning of the “special military operation”.
“Intensive shelling began in the settlement where our meeting took place. But it’s okay, I’m out of it. I believe that military counter-intelligence will find out how the enemy found out about our movements,” Volodymyr Solovyov said on the air of the Russia-1 TV channel on Sunday.
Now he has also released a video of the moment.

However, many netizens noted the momentis strange, suggesting that it was rather directed. Some attribute this to the fact that despite the very loud explosion that was heard and the smoke that could be seen entering the room, there did not appear to be any puff after the detonation that even partially affected the room.
Also, although the explosion can be heard as early as 00:10, no one in the room seems to be disturbed, as would be normal in such a situation.
Russian propagandist said he was the victim of an “information leak”
“As it turned out today, there was a leak of information that I was supposed to be in this facility, and we were being hunted. While I was talking to the marines, the shots started, they were corrected by the quadcopter, there were quite a lot of shots,” Solovyov said on Sunday.
The TV presenter also said that Ukraine is “rejoicing terribly for some reason”, but “rejoices in vain”, because Russia does not lose hundreds of soldiers every day, as the military command in Kyiv claims.
Solovyov was released from mobilization by order of Vladimir Putin last September, when Moscow decided to send to the front Russian media outlets that promote the Kremlin’s official narrative about the war in Ukraine.
Other categories of Russian citizens also took advantage of this privilege, but some accused the heads of the establishment centers of ignoring the order, officially signed by the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
Volodymyr Solovyov became one of the most famous Russian TV presenters after the start of the war in Ukraine, known for his brutal accusations against the West and Kyiv.
He recently lashed out at Italy, which seized his villa, demanding he remember how she “kissed the hands of Russian soldiers” during the Napoleonic Wars.
