Volodymyr Solovyov, the most famous Russian TV presenter and the Kremlin’s favorite propagandist, claims that he was at the front in Vugledar and managed to escape the shelling of Ukrainian artillerymen.

TV presenter Volodymyr Solovyov said that he was attacked while visiting the deployment site of the 155th Marine Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces near Vugledar in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, the Russian news agency TASS notes.

“Intensive shelling began in the settlement where our meeting took place. But it’s okay, I’m out of it. I think military counter-intelligence will find out where the enemy learned about our movements,” said the Russian propagandist on Sunday on the air of the Russia-1 TV channel.

“As it turned out today, there was a leak of information that I was supposed to be in this facility, and we were being hunted. While I was talking to the Marines, the hits started, they were corrected by the quadcopter, there were quite a few hits,” he said.

The TV presenter also said that Ukraine is “rejoicing terribly for some reason”, but “rejoicing in vain”, because Russia is not losing hundreds of soldiers.

The propagandist was released from mobilization by order of Putin in September 2022 after the Russian Ministry of Defense decided not to send to the front Russian media that promote the Kremlin’s official narrative about the war in Ukraine, Insider reports.

But Solovyov wanted to demonstrate on his show how high-quality and durable the bulletproof vests that Russian recruits receive are, and tested one at the shooting range.

Although he claims that the bulletproof vests that Moscow issues to mobilized Russians are durable, it seems that the pro-Kremlin journalist did not dare to test the vest on his own skin, and instead used a mannequin.

Volodymyr Solovyov also donned a military helmet to show Russian recruits how good the equipment they were getting was after countless complaints.
