
Ten people died in a fire that broke out today at a fuel storage station owned by a state-owned energy company. Indonesia Pertamina in the capital Jakarta, according to a firefighters report seen by Reuters.
In footage shared on social media that Reuters was unable to verify immediately, explosions were heard, residents panicked and tried to flee.

Television footage shows people in nearby areas fleeing their homes carrying their belongings, and a fire is burning in some homes in a densely populated area.
The Jakarta Central Fire Department call center said 31 vehicles were dispatched to the Plumbang area in North Jakarta.
Satriandi Gunawan of the North Jakarta Fire Department told Kompas TV news that the fire had begun to spread to nearby houses.
According to him, the fire started after 20:00 local time (15:00 Greek time).).
Pertamin said in a statement that the cause of the fire was under investigation.
