Players from Russia and Belarus can be admitted to the Wimbledon International Tennis Tournament this year. On Friday, March 3, reported the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.
“All expectations indicate that the AELTC (All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. – Ed.) will lift the ban for Russians and Belarusians,” the publication noted.
As reported by the sports news agency SID, the ban, imposed last year in the context of Russia’s war in Ukraine, could be lifted at the British Grand Slam tournament from 3 to 16 July.
