Medvedev: Western aid to Ukraine increases the risk of a global nuclear catastrophe

Its former president Russia and ally of the President Vladimir Putin in comments published today stressed that the continued supply of weapons to Kyiv from the West increases the risk of global nuclear annihilation, reiterating its threat nuclear war for her Ukraine.

Dmitry Medvedev’s “exposure” rhetoric is seen as an attempt to prevent NATO and Kyiv’s Western allies from being drawn into a year-long war in which Moscow was defeated on the battlefield.

The latest comments by Medvedev, who is vice chairman of Putin’s powerful security council, follow the Russian president’s nuclear threat last week and his statements yesterday that described Moscow’s confrontation with the West as an existential battle for the survival of Russia and the Russian people.

“Of course, the influx of weapons could continue … and prevent the resumption of negotiations,” Medvedev said, according to the Izvestia newspaper.

“Our enemies do just that, they do not want to understand that their goals will necessarily lead to a complete fiasco. Loss for everyone. collapse. Revelation. Where you forget your past life for centuries, until the ruins stop emitting radioactivity.

Putin: West wants to destroy Russia

Recall yesterday on Sunday, Putin said that Russia has no choice but to take into account the nuclear potential of NATO, as the Alliance seeks the defeat of Russia, reports TASS.

“In the current conditions, when all the prominent NATO countries have declared that their main goal is to inflict a strategic defeat on us, so that, as they say, our people suffer, how can we ignore their nuclear potential in these conditions,” Putin said. TV Russia 1reports TASS.

The West, Putin said, wants to destroy Russia.

“They have one goal: to destroy the former Soviet Union and its main part, the Russian Federation,” Putin said, TASS reports.

Putin has accused NATO of participating in the conflict in Ukraine by supplying arms to the Kyiv forces.

“They are sending weapons worth tens of billions of dollars to Ukraine. This is really participation,” Putin said. “This means that they are participating, albeit indirectly, in the crimes of the Kyiv regime.”
