Eurovision: UK government to offer 3,000 tickets to IDPs from Ukraine

The British government will provide 3,000 tickets for its vocal competition. Eurovision displaced Ukrainians, as their country was unable to accept him due to invasive her Russia.

The government also announced that it will provide £10 million in funding to support the Eurovision Song Contest in May, which the UK is hosting on behalf of Ukraine.

This year the Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Liverpool, in the north of England. Ukraine won the contest in 2022 and was generally the host country the next year. The UK came in second last year.

“Today’s announcement means that thousands of tickets will be provided to people displaced by the war to take part in an event that celebrates their homeland, their culture and music,” UK Culture Secretary Lucy Fraser said in a statement. “As always, we support the Ukrainian people and their fight for freedom.”
