Russia – China: visit of a high-ranking Chinese diplomat to Moscow

OUR China And Hungary ready to work with other countries to end the current hostilities, senior Chinese diplomat Wang Yi said from Budapest today ahead of his visit to Moscow.

“China and Hungary are peaceful countries, so I’m happy to meet with you again,” Wang said, according to a video posted on Facebook during his meeting with Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.

“Let me repeat what we just heard (from you) and jointly tell the world that China and Hungary are ready to cooperate with other peace-loving countries to end the current hostilities as soon as possible.”

Blinken: China is considering sending weapons to Russia

It is noted that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who met with Wang Yi on Saturday, warned that Beijing is considering providing weapons to Russia to support its attack on Ukraine.

“We talked about the war being waged by Russia and that we have concerns that China is considering providing lethal support to Russia,” the US Secretary of State told CBS. When asked what exactly that would include, Anthony Blinken replied, “Mostly weapons.”

The two men met on Saturday night in Munich on the sidelines of a security conference, a meeting that American diplomacy called “frank and direct.”

The US Secretary of State warned of “consequences and consequences” for China if it offers “material support” to Russia or helps it evade Western sanctions, State Department spokesman Ned Price said summing up the meeting.

A warning to Beijing and from Zelensky

In addition, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, for his part, said that if China supports Russia in the war in Ukraine, a world war will begin.

Zelenskiy made the comment as China said the United States could not make demands after the US Secretary of State warned his Chinese counterpart over the weekend not to supply Russia with weapons for its war in Ukraine.

“It is important for us that China does not support the Russian Federation in this war,” Zelensky said in an interview with the German newspaper Die Welt. “In fact, I would like China to be on our side. However, at the moment I do not believe that this is possible.
