A armed opened fire and killed six people in his Arkabatla community Mississippireported by local media.

According to NBC5, citing Tate County Sheriff Brad Lance, the suspect has been arrested.

American media reports that a man was shot dead in a store in Arkabatl, and a woman was attacked in her own home. Her husband was wounded, but it is not known if the assailant shot at him.

Police officers who arrived at the scene found four more bodies: two inside the house and two outside.

Sheriff’s deputies found the car on the same street as the house and arrested the suspect, who offered no resistance.

The attacker’s motives remain unclear at this time.
