
The websites of several airports in Germany “fell” today, Thursday, after a hacker attack, according to the German news agency dpa.
The agency said the event would not have a direct impact on air traffic in the country.
Nuremberg Airport in southern Germany said its website had received so many inquiries that it had crashed. The sites of the airports of Düsseldorf and Dortmund in the west of the country were also unavailable, according to dpa.
In eastern Germany, the Erfurt-Weimar Airport website has been closed. The airport’s ISP was checking to see if it was a hacker attack, according to dpa.
On Wednesday, Frankfurt Airport had to temporarily divert all flights from the country’s busiest airport due to a problem with Lufthansa’s computer systems caused by construction work.
