Olive grove in Altinosa, Hatay province, turned into a canyon Turkeywhich is located on the border with Syria, after the devastating earthquake 7.8 Richter.
The internet is flooded with videos and photographs of the unique scenery created by the Anglada’s deathblow: jagged cliffs, sandy terrain that looks like it’s been broken away or like a giant hand has come out of the ground, a few preserved olive trees among the rocks.
This drone video shows an olive grove in Turkey being torn apart by last week’s earthquake and aftershocks, which ripped the bedrock and created a crack 200 meters wide.

The length of the canyon reaches 300 meters, and the depth in some places exceeds 30-40 meters.
Speaking to Turkish news agency Demioren, a man living in the area said that “an awful noise” was heard on the night of the quake. “We woke up and seemed to be on the battlefield,” Irfan said to Aksu.

He begged experts to come and investigate the area, fearing another catastrophe. “We are not a small town, there are 1,000 houses and 7,000 people here. We fear. “If it happened closer, the canyon would be in the center of the city,” he said.
