NATO an emergency summit should be convened to discuss the gas pipeline explosions Nord Stream in September, after a report by an American journalist, the press secretary of the Foreign Ministry Russia Maria Zakharova.
Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist Seymour Hersh published an article on Wednesday, citing an unnamed source, alleging that US Navy divers blew up his pipelines on the orders of President Joe Biden.
The White House called “absolutely false and fiction” the claim that the United States was behind the explosions on the Nord Stream gas pipeline, which carried gas from Russia to Germany.
Moscow has repeatedly accused the West of being responsible for the explosions on two pipelines carrying Russian gas to Germany without providing any evidence. Investigators from Sweden and Denmark, in whose exclusive economic zones the explosions took place, suggested that cracks in the pipelines were the result of sabotage, but did not specify who, in their opinion, was responsible. The US and NATO described the incident as “sabotage”.
“There is more than enough evidence here: the explosion of the pipeline, the existence of a motive, the evidence collected by journalists,” Zakharova stressed in Telegram. “So when is the emergency NATO summit to review the situation?” – he asked.
