
The election campaign ended at midnight for both presidential candidates. Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides and Andreas Mavroyannis.
Friday evening (02.10) was preceded by the last inter-channel debate between Mr. Christodoulidis and Mavroyiannis, which was simulcast by Sigma, Ant1, Omega, Alpha and the Cyprus Radio Foundation. The conversation took place at the Omega facility.
Voting on the election of the new PtD of Cyprus will take place tomorrow.
561,033 voters have the right to vote, including 240 stranded and 730 Turkish Cypriots.
Polling stations will open at 07:00 and close at 18:00 with an hour break from 12:00 to 13:00.
According to Chief Electoral Commissioner Costas Constantinou, the final results are expected to be announced around 20:00.
Shortly after 22:00 at the Tassos Papadopoulos – Eleftheria stadium, a ceremony will be held to announce the new President of the Republic.
