The Prime Minister confirmed the support of Greece and the EU. in Ukraine’s struggle to defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity. Kyriakos Mitsotakis also stressed that Greece supports the European perspective of Ukraine. The meeting was also attended by the President of Bulgaria, the Chancellor of Austria and the Prime Ministers of Croatia, Slovenia and Hungary.

Zelensky in the European Parliament: Motherland of Ukrainians is Europe

Speaking Thursday morning at a plenary session of the European Parliament, the Ukrainian president said that Europe for Ukraine is “the way home.”

Zelensky thanked the deputies of the European Parliament and EU member states. for the support they give to his wintering homeland, opening their speech with visible excitement and passionately supporting the importance of their country’s membership in the EU, which he called the homeland of his people.

“For the Russian leadership, 140 million citizens are nothing more than bodies that can carry weapons,” Zelensky said, adding that the Russian regime not only hates social justice, but also invests in xenophobia.

“We are defending our country and our values, European values ​​from the very anti-European force that attacks us,” he stressed to applause. He also thanked those who did not become a victim of Russian propaganda, in addition to the moral and material support of the people of Ukraine, “justifying our European way of life.”
