OUR Germany agreed with Turkey and its partners in European Union in order to determine exactly what kind of help his victims need earthquake in Turkey and Syria early this morning, a government spokesman said.

Aid to Syria, with which Germany has no official diplomatic relations, could be channeled through international non-governmental organizations, including Malteser International, which operates in the country with German support, the spokesman said.

German authorities will hold an emergency meeting today to agree on initial aid plans, a foreign ministry spokesman said.
