The city of Bakhmut, around which fierce fighting has been going on for several months, according to the latest assessment of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain, is becoming “increasingly isolated”, writes The Guardian.
“Over the past week, Russia has continued to make limited progress in its efforts to encircle the town of Bakhmut in Donbas,” the Ministry of Defense said on Twitter on Sunday.
“M03 and H32 are the two main roads into the city for Ukrainian defenders – both are probably under direct fire from Russian successors.
“At the beginning of the week, the “Wagner” PMC probably seized a subordinate route connecting Bakhmut with the city of Siversk.
“While several alternative supply routes between the countries remain available to Ukrainian forces, Bakhmut is increasingly isolated” (news.ro)
