
CIA Director William Burns said on Thursday that US intelligence agencies estimate that the next six months will be “critical” for Ukraine, which is trying to repel Russia’s military invasion of its territory, which began almost a year ago, on February 24, 2022.
Mr. Burns, speaking at a foreign policy event at Georgetown University in Washington, also stressed that the Iranian government seemed to be particularly concerned about the situation in the country and the courage of “disenfranchised” women.
In the Middle East, the CIA director calculated that violence between Israel and the Palestinians could escalate again, voicing concern.
