Last year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky founded fundraising organization United24 as an alternative and response to international organizations accused of not sending money to Ukraine that they were supposed to raise to send aid to the war zone.
The goal of the Ukrainian government is to provide funds for reconstruction 18 apartment buildings in the suburbs of Kyiv – in Irpen, Borodianka, Gostomel, Mil and Buzova. It is expected that such a project will help to return to their homes approximately 4,240 people. The cost will be 19.3 million euros. So far, 17 million euros have been raised.
The plan is laced with optimism that is not necessarily justified by developments, at least for the moment: conflicts could once again destroy all that is being rebuilt in these areas lacking basic amenities and services.
The Russians are hitting the power grid. Power outages occur daily, so generators are provided by the state. But Russia may face the water network next.

Timofik Milanov, President of the Kyiv School of Economics. “The moment you want to organize or make a plan, another city is attacked or a new wave of refugees appears. For restoration, it is necessary to use expensive and environmentally friendly materials, striving for something better, or with so many homeless people it is better to distribute limited resources in a wider circleat risk ugly reconstruction?
