
At least 10 attempts were made against the head of the Defense Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Kyryll Budanov, reports “Ukrainian Pravda” with reference to Washington Post sources.
“In 2019, a bomb was planted under his car, but it was detonated prematurely. There were at least 10 attempts,” Budanova’s close friend, who lives in his office, said.
Budanov would be the main culprit in the destruction of the bridge connecting Russia with Crimea in the eyes of the Kremlin, so he would be a constant target.
However, in terms of the number of attempts on life, Budanov would surpass even the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, at least that is what Ukrainian officials claim.
Zelensky is said to have survived more than 12 attempts to kill him by Russian forces since the start of the war last February.
