A new video posted on social media by the Ukrainian military shows Russian soldiers abandoning a makeshift bunker to escape by eating the ground after a drone grenade was fired in front of it.
The suggestive footage doesn’t leave much room for comment, but it’s interesting that the Russian soldiers covered their makeshift bunker with whatever they had on hand, apparently lacking the military camouflage required for positions on and near the front.
Sprint running. There is a leader and an outsider. You may have noticed how at the beginning they touch something magical that ensures victory in the competition. Whoever escapes first, but does not touch, loses. pic.twitter.com/Cj9eL2bQXz

That the Russian military is having problems providing its soldiers with the necessary camouflage gear has been evident since the first days of the “special operation” that Vladimir Putin launched last year, with numerous videos and photos appearing on social networks as early as March 2022. Media reports show Moscow soldiers turning to carpets, hay and branches to camouflage their tanks and armored vehicles.
Military analyst Rob Lee of the Foreign Policy Research Institute noted at the time that the situation is even more surprising because the Russians are actually very good at camouflaging their vehicles and have demonstrated this in past military exercises.
Another video that recently surfaced on social media, showing a group of Russian soldiers appearing unopposed after their positions were stormed by Ukrainian mountain hunters, also showed that some of the soldiers Putin sent to Ukraine have still not received no winter gear.
Footage posted on social media in late December showed a stark contrast between the Ukrainian military, dressed head-to-toe in white gear, and the Russians, who were still in their summer uniforms.
Equipment, the lack of military, which Putin sent to subjugate Ukraine
On December 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin admitted for the first time that since September 21, when he ordered a partial mobilization, there have been problems with the equipment of the soldiers, after numerous videos shared by the Russian recruits themselves on social media showed this.
At a press conference in Bishkek, Putin said some of the supply problems for the 300,000 men called up for a mobilization campaign in September and October were now easing.
Last Tuesday, the head of the Kremlin instructed the government to create a so-called working group to coordinate issues of mobilization and training of mobilized reservists in connection with numerous complaints of Russian conscripts and soldiers.
Just a day later, Vladimir Putin approved a proposal by Sergei Shoigu, his defense minister, to increase Russia’s armed forces by hundreds of thousands of new soldiers, despite assurances from the Kremlin that the mobilization was complete.
