British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak today removed non-portfolio minister and Tory Party chairman Nadeem Zahavi from government after an independent investigation into his tax affairs revealed a serious violation of the ministerial code.
“Following the conclusion of the investigation by the Independent (Ethics) Adviser — whose findings he shared with both of them — it became clear that there had been a serious breach of the Ministerial Code,” Sunak Zahavi said in a letter he gave to Downing Street today.
“In this regard, I inform you of my decision to remove you from your position in Her Majesty’s Government,” the British Prime Minister added in his letter.
