In a new video that appeared on social networks, it can be seen that when Russian soldiers are trying to escape from Ukrainian artillery, driving along the road in armored vehicles is not the happiest option.

The footage shows a Russian armored car spectacularly exploding after driving into a roadside minefield, while shells fired by Ukrainian gunners fall around it. One of the shells, a few seconds before the explosion, falls exactly in the direction of movement of the Russian army vehicle, but continues to move along the same course.

It is noteworthy that the footage also shows Russian servicemen in a car that survived the explosion driving into a grove of trees on the side of the road to take cover. However, at around 00:29 of the recording, one of them appears to have been mowed down by small arms fire and fell to the ground immediately afterwards.

Judging by the color of the vegetation that can be seen on it, the video was shot in the north of the Donetsk region, probably last fall.

Immediately after the catastrophic collapse of the Russian front in Kharkiv, a region north of Donetsk, on September 10, pro-Russian separatists led by Denys Pusilin recalled heavy fighting and spoke of a “difficult situation” at the front.

Analysts believe that the panic that appears to have broken out among them, as well as among separatists in neighboring Luhansk Oblast, was one of the main factors that led President Vladimir Putin to announce the annexation of occupied Ukrainian territories on September 30.

But literally a day later, Ukrainian troops liberated the strategic city of Lyman in the Donetsk region, dealing a heavy blow to the invading forces and the image of the Kremlin.

However, it is not entirely clear whether the footage that is now appearing on social networks was taken during that period or later.
