On Thursday, January 26, the Biden administration imposed financial sanctions on the United Arab Emirates-based airline for its alleged role in transporting mercenaries from the Russian paramilitary group Wagner to conflict zones abroad.
“The Wagner Group uses aircraft supplied by Kratol to transport personnel and equipment between Central African Republic, Libya and Yes“, the US Treasury said.
Wagner mercenaries are accused of war crimes in all three countries.
