Now four-year-old Teddy from Portishhead, Somerset, can count to 100 in six additional languages, including Chinese.

To become a MENSA member, one must have an IQ that places them in the top 2% of people. Applicants must pass an agency intelligence test.

Teddy’s mother, Beth Hobbs, told the BBC that the toddler learned to read at just 26 months of age “by watching children’s shows on TV and imitating the sounds of letters.”
