“These are the largest contracts in the company’s history,” the Russian industrial group said in a statement.
In 2022, the production of Kalashnikov weapons increased by 40% compared to 2021.
Production of the AK-19 Kalashnikov assault rifle (caliber 5.45 mm), the Kalashnikov PPK-20 submachine gun (caliber 9 mm), the Saiga-9 and TR3 carbines has also begun.
Also last year, Kalashnikov delivered the first batch of Shukavin sniper rifles, Agerpres notes.
