According to Ukrainian governors, Russian forces are continuing to attack civilians across Ukraine, despite a supposed 36-hour ceasefire imposed by the Kremlin on the occasion of Orthodox Christmas, The Guardian reports.

Over the past day, terrorist attacks were reported in at least seven regions in the east and south of Ukraine, as a result of which at least three people died and 14 were injured, Kyiv Independent reports.

Russian troops bombed the Kherson region in the south of the country 39 times on Friday. Residential buildings and the building of the fire station were fired upon in the recently liberated city, Governor Yaroslav Yanushevich said on Telegram on Saturday.

On Friday, one firefighter was killed and seven civilians were injured in all liberated areas of the Kherson region, he added.

In the east of Donetsk region, Governor Pavlo Kyrylenko reported that two civilians were killed in Bakhmut and the neighboring town of Krasna Gora on Friday. He added that seven more people were injured.

Kharkiv Governor Oleg Synegubov said that Russian troops are attacking civilians in the northeastern region. No casualties were reported, but residential and commercial buildings continued to be shelled by the Russians during the supposed ceasefire period.
