“Today, no one hides from us the true goals of the White House’s policy. On all TV channels, political commentators talk about the need to intensify the US proxy war against the Russian Federation,” said Antonov in an interview with the Russian state news agency TASS, published on Friday.

“I will remind the audience that a proxy war is an agent war, a war through proxies. In fact, this is what the Americans are doing on Ukrainian territory,” he added.

“We emphasize that the risk of a clash between two great powers [Rusia și Statele Unite] is increasing,” says the ambassador.

Russia will continue “to strive to ensure that Russia’s concerns about the security of our country are not ignored, but are listened to in order to work together to resolve them,” he added.

Antonov also stated that the dialogue between Moscow and Washington is now in a state of “ice age”.

“Embassy [rusă] she is still forced to work in an atmosphere of hostility and mistrust,” said Antonov.

“Because of the local ruling circles, obsessed with the idea of cementing the image of an “international pariah” for us, the state of the Russian-American dialogue can be compared to the Ice Age,” he said.

Antonov also noted that the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi to the United States shows that neither Washington nor Kyiv “are ready for peace.”

“Accent [este] to the war, to the death of ordinary soldiers, to the further attachment of the Ukrainian regime to the needs of the United States,” he said.
