NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on Wednesday that there are currently no conditions for a diplomatic settlement of the war in Ukraine, while he advocates the continued active supply of Western weapons to Kyiv.
“No conditions [για διπλωματική λύση] currently. The more we want a peaceful solution, the more urgent is the provision of military assistance to Ukraine,” the head of NATO said at a forum organized by the Financial Times.
Mr. Stoltenberg argued that Russia was trying to freeze the conflict before “launching a larger offensive in the spring.”
“Now Ukraine has an advantage,” the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization assessed, adding that NATO members “are constantly discussing which systems [όπλων] want to deliver” in Kyiv.
