A video was released on social media that captured the dramatic moments of the retreat of the Russians from the western bank of the Dnieper in Kherson, in which Moscow soldiers shot their own comrades during the evacuation.
The recording shows how the Russian military on the western bank of the Dnieper destroys the boats here, so that they do not fall into the hands of the Ukrainians after the evacuation.
The soldiers appear quite relaxed, which may indicate that these operations took place several days before the retreat reached the last hundred meters, when numerous reports on Russian social networks spoke of panic among the Moscow military.
But as soon as Russian soldiers open fire on one of the boats to sink it, their comrades on the other side of the Dnieper start shooting at them.
It is not clear why the Russian military tried to destroy the engine of the boat with small-caliber fire when they were talking among themselves about using grenades to sink boats and it is clear that they had already thrown one into the boat.

“Stay, we’re yours!” one of the Russian soldiers unsuccessfully demands. One of the soldiers on board appears to have been wounded after the first salvo was fired at the boat. Panic quickly sets in among the invaders when they see that the fire from the other side does not stop and all the soldiers desperately shout that they are Russians.
Chaotic scenes during the retreat of the Russians from Kherson
The Russian soldiers in the boat finally give up and try to escape the fire, desperately talking to each other:
“- Take to the right!
– Tell me where! Tell me where!
– That’s right!
– Tell me where!
– Here!
– Tell me where!
– Stop so I can see!
– To the shore!
“Retarded, this is Kherson!”
A report released by the Ukrainian military on Sunday says that two weeks before the Russians withdrew from Kherson, the Russian armed forces recorded record losses – almost 10,000 soldiers and hundreds of tanks and armored vehicles.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced last Friday that the withdrawal from the west bank of the Dnieper had been completed, claiming that no servicemen or military equipment remained. Video recordings that later appeared on social networks contradicted this version of events.
