The president USA, Joe Bidenpraised Egypt today for speaking out strongly about war in Ukraine and said that Cairo was the most important mediator in Gauze.

Biden made such a statement during a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi at the UN Climate Summit (COP27), which takes place in the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.

“Egypt spoke out strongly against the Russian war in Ukraine at the UN, and this is also very much appreciated,” he said.

For his part, the Egyptian president told his American counterpart that Egypt had launched a national human rights strategy and wanted to continue developing in that light.

Egypt has also taken a national dialogue initiative and set up a presidential commission to consider amnesty for prisoners, Sisi said, speaking during a bilateral meeting with Biden on the sidelines of COP27.
