Students holding banners reading, among other things, “Get MAT and OPPI out of our schools – Fight to repeal the Kerameo Laws” chant slogans against the university police and AUTH rector Nikos Papaioannou, while at the same time demanding the re-establishment of the university shelter .
Triantafyllos Mitafidis, a member of the Prisoners and Exiles Resistance Association (SFEA) and a former MP for SYRIZA, issued statements in which he spoke of “undemocratic actions”.
Mr. Mitafidis also stated that “SFEA requires a competent Minister of Citizen Protection to provide police departments from all universities in the country.”
