Ministry of Defence USA announced today a new military aid package Ukraineworth about $400 million, including upgraded T-72 tanks and Hawk anti-aircraft missile systems.
The new package also includes 1,100 Phoenix Ghost drones and funding to upgrade 250 M117 armored vehicles, the Pentagon said.
Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said the US and the Netherlands will share the cost of upgrading a total of 90 T-72 tanks in the Czech Republic, which will be delivered to Ukraine.
For its part, the Dutch Ministry of Defense announced that a new package of military assistance to Ukraine is estimated at 120 million euros, including 45 million for the modernization of the T-72.
