The White House warned that any attack on US infrastructure would be met with a response after a senior Russian foreign ministry official said Western commercial satellites could be Russia’s “legitimate targets” if they were involved in the war in Ukraine.
White House spokesman John Kirby told reporters there is evidence, which he says is well known, that the Russians are seeking to develop anti-satellite technology.
The United States wants to extend the agreement on the export of grain from Ukraine
The United States strongly supports UN efforts to secure an extension of the Black Sea Grain Export Agreement, John Kirby said, stressing that it would help bring down food prices.
A White House spokesman said that any attempt by Russia to thwart this agreement would constitute another attempt to “wield” goods.
